Award-winning Syracuse local Amanda Raymond makes an impressive feature film directorial debut with heart-warming Christmas film ‘You Are My Home’ available now on Netflix.

You Are My Home (2020) explores the relationship between a heartbroken woman and an immigrant girl who has lost her mother at the Texas border. Starring Alyssa Milano, Christian de la Fuente, Angel Parker and Eve Ariel Binder, this touching drama is set in the run up to Christmas and sheds a light on loss from two perspectives. In addition Amanda Raymond co-wrote and served as an Executive Producer on, ‘You Are My Home’ which premiered on Netflix, December 4th. Despite a year in which Covid-19 has forced cancellations of many productions, Amanda is now in post production on a new TV series The Potwins (2021), with Kevin Sorbo, Barry Botswick, Jon Lovitz and Tia Carrere. Amanda’s portfolio also includes her award winning short film “From Emily” (2019), which she also wrote/directed/produced. Prior to directing/writing, Amanda worked in Creative Content and Behind the Scenes at The Walt Disney Studios for their feature film division (including all Marvel, Pixar, & Lucas film features) and handled production B-roll, soundbites, content pieces, shot premieres, special screenings, and fan events. Additionally, Amanda served as an on set EPK producer for B-roll and talent/crew interviews for the films Mr. Holmes (2015), The Good Liar (2019), and Pet Sematary (2019) for Invisible Machine. She also worked in production for Disney Television Animation, (Lilo and Stitch the series, Emperor’s New School, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), The Jim Henson Company (Sid the Science Kid), and Blumhouse Productions (Boy Next Door, The Darkness).
